Miami-Dade County Referendum 6: Expanding Advertising in Parks
Ballot summary
Charter Amendment Expanding Allowable Advertising at Parks. Shall the Charter be amended to expand permissible advertising in parks subject to Article 7 of the Charter by removing the requirement that advertising in those parks must be related to sponsorship of events or facilities in the parks, provided that such advertising does not unreasonably impair the public use of the park or damage the park and any revenue generated be for the exclusive use of the park system?
A "Yes" vote means
A YES vote allows general advertising in the charter-protected parks (not only event or facility sponsorships), as long as it does not impair public use or damage the park, with revenue reserved for the park system.
A "No" vote means
A NO vote keeps advertising in those parks limited to sponsorship of park events or facilities.
