Charter Amendment Establish an Independent Salary Commission. Shall the Charter be amended to replace the fixed annual salary for County Commissioners with an independent, five-member Salary Commission—appointed by the Chief Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, State Attorney, Public Defender, Executive Director of the Commission on Ethics, and Inspector General—that annually reviews and sets Commissioner salaries based on specific criteria, with all decisions being final without modification by the Board of County Commissioners?
A "Yes" vote means
A YES vote replaces the fixed commissioner salary in the charter with a five-member Salary Commission, appointed by the chief judge, state attorney, public defender, ethics commission director and inspector general, that sets commissioner pay each year; the County Commission could not change its decisions.
A "No" vote means
A NO vote keeps the current fixed annual salary for county commissioners set in the charter.
