Collier County Referendum: Additional 1% Tourist Development Tax

Ballot summary

Shall Collier County Ordinance No. 2025-33 be approved authorizing Collier County to levy and collect an additional one percent Tourist Development Tax from all short-term rentals in Collier County to fund tourism-related capital projects, promotion and related uses permitted by state law?

A "Yes" vote means

A YES vote raises the tourist tax on hotel and short-term rental stays by one percentage point; the county projects roughly $9.7 million to $10 million a year, primarily to complete the Paradise Coast Sports Complex.

A "No" vote means

A NO vote keeps the tourist development tax at its current rate.
