A "Yes" vote means
A YES vote extends the existing half-cent sales tax for ten more years to fund lagoon restoration: septic-to-sewer conversions, muck removal, stormwater treatment and habitat projects; the county estimates roughly $800 million over the renewal period.
A "No" vote means
A NO vote lets the half-cent lagoon tax, first approved in 2016, expire at the end of its current term, ending that dedicated funding.
