Each entry describes what the candidate has said or done, and what they say they will do, in neutral terms with sources. The chip shows how that relates to the statement voters rate in the matching tool.

Property taxes Strongly disagrees· stated position

Statement: "Florida should eliminate or sharply reduce homestead property taxes, even if local governments must cut services or find other revenue."

She says eliminating or sharply reducing property taxes would threaten schools, public safety and local services without guaranteeing relief for renters.

"Eliminating or sharply reducing property taxes would also threaten schools, public safety, infrastructure, and local services without guaranteeing meaningful relief for renters."

Property insurance Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "The state should intervene more directly in the property-insurance market (rate caps, expanding Citizens, stricter insurer regulation) rather than relying mainly on market-based reforms."

She calls for insurer accountability, transparent rate reviews, timely claims payments, home-hardening grants and a stable insurer of last resort.

"Relief must reach policyholders—not become another blank check for the insurance industry."

Housing affordability Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Government should do more to make housing affordable (subsidies, zoning changes, rent measures)."

She supports fully funding the Sadowski trust funds, using public land for permanently affordable homes, and renter protections against junk fees and displacement.

"Florida must treat housing as essential infrastructure."

Abortion Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Abortion should be legal in most cases (Florida's six-week ban should be repealed or loosened)."

She supports abortion access before viability and says Florida's six-week ban takes away a personal medical decision before many women know they are pregnant.

"Abortion is healthcare, and these decisions belong to a woman, her doctor, and her faith—not politicians in Tallahassee."

Health care Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Government should expand its role in health coverage (expand Medicaid in Florida, extend Affordable Care Act subsidies)."

She supports expanding Medicaid, targeted premium assistance if federal subsidies decline, and lower prescription-drug costs.

"Florida should expand Medicaid and bring our federal tax dollars home"

Education & school choice Leans disagree· stated position

Statement: "Public money should follow students to private, charter or home schools (universal school vouchers)."

A former teacher, she pledges to fully fund neighborhood public schools and stop diverting public dollars without equal accountability.

"stop politicians from diverting public dollars without equal accountability"

Environment & water Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Protecting water quality, conservation land and climate resilience should take priority even if it slows development or raises costs."

Her site says climate change and sea-level rise are real and already here and calls for investment in resilience and water protection.

"Sea level rise is not theoretical — it is real, and the impact is already here."

Growth & development Leans agree· stated position

Statement: "Growth and development should be slowed or more tightly regulated (higher impact fees, density limits, stronger local control)."

She says Florida has moved too far toward blanket preemption and would require specific justification for any new preemption of local governments.

Elections & voting Leans agree· stated position

Statement: "Voting should be made easier (mail voting, drop boxes, restoring voting rights) rather than adding new restrictions."

She opposes new barriers to voting and would waive record fees and provide cure periods if proof of citizenship is required.
