Kimberly Overman is a certified financial planner and small-business owner who served on the Hillsborough County Commission from 2018 to 2022. She won the Aug. 18, 2026 Democratic primary with 52.7% over Darren McAuley, a physician and Florida Air National Guard state air surgeon who spent nearly four times as much on the race.
