Property taxes Leans disagree· stated position

Statement: "Florida should eliminate or sharply reduce homestead property taxes, even if local governments must cut services or find other revenue."

Calls property taxes necessary for local services while urging fairer appraisals; ranks insurance as the priority.

"Necessary property taxes fund tangible services (trash collection, libraries, parks, streets, and mosquito control), but property appraisal fairness must be addressed."

Property insurance Leans agree· stated position

Statement: "The state should intervene more directly in the property-insurance market (rate caps, expanding Citizens, stricter insurer regulation) rather than relying mainly on market-based reforms."

She proposes targeted legislation to reduce homeowners insurance costs and says current costs are still rising with no workable solutions.

"Rethink homeowner's insurance through targeted legislation to reduce costs"

Housing affordability Leans agree· stated position

Statement: "Government should do more to make housing affordable (subsidies, zoning changes, rent measures)."

She wants local governments to regain authority over rent restrictions and zoning as part of affordability.

Abortion Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Abortion should be legal in most cases (Florida's six-week ban should be repealed or loosened)."

Says pregnancy decisions belong solely to patients and physicians without legislative interference.

"Medical procedures should be decided solely by a patient in consultation and with guidance from their physician, free from the interference of unqualified legislators."

Health care Leans agree· stated position

Education & school choice Leans disagree· stated position

Statement: "Public money should follow students to private, charter or home schools (universal school vouchers)."

"Reorganize the expanded school voucher program: revise accounting methods to recover lost funds, and identify student status"

Environment & water Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Protecting water quality, conservation land and climate resilience should take priority even if it slows development or raises costs."

She lists coastal resiliency, ecosystem destruction, waterway pollution and overdevelopment as her policy passions and calls water quality and quantity the state's greatest challenge.

"Water; quality/quantity. Development impacts the water and climate change impacts the weather, water, and our resiliency."

Growth & development Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Growth and development should be slowed or more tightly regulated (higher impact fees, density limits, stronger local control)."

She wants to return local control over taxes, comprehensive plans, rent restrictions and zoning, stop laws that favor developers over local governments, and names overdevelopment as a top concern.

"Stop passing legislation that advantages developers over locally elected governments and the communities they represent"

Elections & voting Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Voting should be made easier (mail voting, drop boxes, restoring voting rights) rather than adding new restrictions."

Her Ballotpedia survey calls for promoting mail-in voting, simplifying registration, expanding early voting and making Election Day a state holiday; her site criticizes HB 991 as creating barriers for elderly, married women, students and low-income voters.

"promote mail-in voting, simplify voter registration, expand early voting, and declare Election Day a state holiday"

Energy & utilities Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Government should promote renewable energy and tighten oversight of utility rate increases, even at the expense of fossil-fuel production."

Her 'Bad Bills' page opposes HB 1217, which limits local climate and net-zero policies, and says Florida is uniquely suited to capture renewable energy.

"Given the state's topography, geology, and abundant sunshine, we are uniquely suited to capture renewable energy options. This bill goes against our best interests."
