Each entry describes what the candidate has said or done, and what they say they will do, in neutral terms with sources. The chip shows how that relates to the statement voters rate in the matching tool.

Property taxes Strongly disagrees· stated position

Statement: "Florida should eliminate or sharply reduce homestead property taxes, even if local governments must cut services or find other revenue."

In the Oviedo Community News general-election questionnaire (Sept. 30, 2026) Aman said she will vote No on Amendment 3, saying property taxes should be approached 'with a scalpel, not a baseball bat' and that the amendment as written would harm public safety and other critical services.

"I will vote no. I understand that people absolutely need relief, but I believe we should approach property taxes with a scalpel, not a baseball bat."

Property insurance Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "The state should intervene more directly in the property-insurance market (rate caps, expanding Citizens, stricter insurer regulation) rather than relying mainly on market-based reforms."

Would cap insurance rate hikes and expand policies, including catastrophic wind coverage, through Citizens.

"capping insurance rate hikes"

Housing affordability Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Government should do more to make housing affordable (subsidies, zoning changes, rent measures)."

Supports more Sadowski trust fund money and mixed-use upward development for affordable housing.

Immigration Strongly disagrees· stated position

Statement: "Immigration enforcement should be stricter, including large-scale deportation of people in the country illegally."

Aman said the state should not be involved in immigration enforcement, which she said should be handled by the federal government, and that deputizing local law-enforcement officers leaves fewer officers available to patrol and respond.

"I do not think that the state should be involved in immigration enforcement."

Abortion Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Abortion should be legal in most cases (Florida's six-week ban should be repealed or loosened)."

Says abortion is a private decision and would vote against further restrictions.

"Bodily autonomy is not up for debate"

Health care Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Government should expand its role in health coverage (expand Medicaid in Florida, extend Affordable Care Act subsidies)."

Says Florida needs to expand Medicaid and accept federal dollars.

"Florida needs to expand Medicaid and accept available Federal dollars."

Education & school choice Leans disagree· stated position

Statement: "Public money should follow students to private, charter or home schools (universal school vouchers)."

Wants stronger accountability for charter and private schools receiving state funds and full funding of public schools.

Environment & water Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Protecting water quality, conservation land and climate resilience should take priority even if it slows development or raises costs."

Asked to name the biggest environmental issue for state government, Aman said protecting Seminole County's Rural Boundary, which she said maintains sensitive agricultural and conservation land and limits flood risk from overdevelopment. She also said she would vote to protect locally adopted rural boundaries.

"The Rural Boundary maintains the integrity of sensitive agricultural and conservation lands. Overdevelopment would have lasting environmental impacts and increase flood risk for existing and future residents."

Growth & development Strongly agrees· stated position

Statement: "Growth and development should be slowed or more tightly regulated (higher impact fees, density limits, stronger local control)."

Would protect the voter-approved Seminole-Orange Rural Boundary and close SB 180 loopholes that let developers sue over it.

"Protect Seminole and Orange County's voter-approved Rural Boundary"

Elections & voting Leans agree· stated position

Statement: "Voting should be made easier (mail voting, drop boxes, restoring voting rights) rather than adding new restrictions."

Would push back against HB 991 and fund voter-registration and document-assistance efforts.

Energy & utilities Leans agree· stated position

Statement: "Government should promote renewable energy and tighten oversight of utility rate increases, even at the expense of fossil-fuel production."

Aman proposed a statewide moratorium on data centers until their full impact on communities and the environment is known, and said she would work to keep the costs of any AI projects from being passed to individual utility customers through rate increases.

"I propose a statewide moratorium on data centers until we can determine the full impact of these facilities on our communities and environment."
