Alec Pavlik

Write-inWrite-in candidate: the name is not printed on the ballot; voters must write it on the blank line

Alec Pavlik is a write-in candidate in Florida's 6th Congressional District who says he grew up in the district and has lived there his whole life. His campaign is built on what he calls constitutionalism: he says members of Congress have voted for bills that violate the Constitution and pledges to vote against such measures and to work to repeal past ones.

Taxes & spending Leans agree· stated position

Statement: "Cutting taxes should be a top priority, even if it means less government spending on services."

Pavlik says inflation can only be eliminated if Congress passes balanced budgets and returns to what he calls sound money, and argues government has no authority to create taxes or welfare that benefit one class of people rather than the general public.

"Inflation can only be eliminated if Congress passes balanced budgets and the United States returns to sound money."

Guns Leans disagree· stated position

Statement: "Gun laws should be stricter (keep the red-flag law and the age-21 purchase rule; expand background checks) rather than looser (permitless or open carry, lower purchase age)."

In his 2025 Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey, Pavlik described self-defense as a natural right that government has no authority to infringe, and named firearm policy as one of the areas he is personally passionate about because it affects natural rights.

"Some of these rights include the right to life, liberty, property, self-defense, and the pursuit of happiness. Governments are established to provide security for these rights."

Ukraine Leans disagree· stated position

Statement: "The U.S. should continue military aid to Ukraine."

Pavlik argues that aid to foreign countries should come voluntarily from people rather than through government, saying that if Americans want to help a foreign land they will do so, often more efficiently, without government coercion.

"If the People want to provide aid to a foreign land, a neighbor, or a company, they will (and often more efficiently) without the coercion of government."
